Let me first thank all of you for being patient and supportive of the league during the past few days, let me clear things up first by saying all of this has zero to do with burn out. Ive done this for YEARS and have learned to make it work with my schedule which includes work, coaching, my children and wife nothing has really changed that. My real reasons for stepping down are basically my own at this point. That said after trying to figure out how to teach/ deligate the dleague and AvNCAA (draft file) to the kings its become clear that its impossible to do under these conditions especially for someone really learning his way around the sim. The time it takes is ugly. So here's what ive decided..
I'll be keeping the Braves as the gm while the kings sims like he has..
I'll continue to do the dleague stuff and sim that ect..
I'll continue to do AvNCAA and the draft files going forward.. Keep in mind people the longer we go more the draft file will begin to be ALL real players but since the draft classes are so small in the 50s, 60s and into 70s fake players have to be included. Those will lesson as time goes on. If you do not care or want to participate in watching the avncaa thats fine its used to put players into a draft file, juggle whos in the class and on some occastion there will be fake guys that turn out to be good. FInding those guys is harder and gms that research a bit will benefit. So going forward here is what a sim year schedule should look like
Draft Lotto Sim by Kings (unless the kings have a good chance at a top 3 pick in which case i can sim it if needed so people don't whine if his team happens to win it)
Draft sim by Kings
FA sims by Braves (unless theres years I have a ton of cap space in which case kings can sim it, typically its easier to transfer dleague players over to the file after FA and before TC so its easier for me to sim FA etc)
Dleague TC done by Braves
Pre-season signings etc and preseason sim done by Kings
Regular Season sims 1-60 done by Kings
Dleague sim done by Braves at the all star break, call up and send downs due before Day 61 sim
College Sim done by Braves (I'll do the draft file as well)
Days 61-120 done by Kings
Kings post the resignings
Kings sim the playoffs
and the league turns to the next season..
Hopefully this works for everyone and is a good way to go going forward in my estimation. I'll still be here supporting/ working with the Kings so any issues we can deal with together as needed. Again you all are awesome, the support and kind works are appreciated and the amount of whining and questioning should now be taken care of as the league moves forward.. We have an opening for the bulls gm, and Kentucky , Indiana are on the fringes.. Spirits and Bobcats I expect will be ok going forward otherwise they better be callin me lol..
