check out the trade deadline sim.. not as exciting this year as in years past but most the playoff teams are set at this point too..
IMPORTANT OFFSEASON STUFF
1) Salary Cap goes up to 30 million this offseason (after the draft) and the hardcap would be 60 million
2) All rookies drafted this year and beyond will now have regular rookie salaries. With the cap going up 10 million it makes sense to start that now.
3) this offseason will allow LLE's for the first time. Still no MLE bids though.
That is all for now.. make sure you read and understand these cap rules, any questions let me know NOW not when they go into effect.

8-2, this sim. My team is looking pretty solid heading into the playoffs. The Spurs and I are neck and neck for the top seed and I have 4 home games left.
I had some nice wins this sim, highlighted by a 37 point beat down of the Spurs. Doc also managed to pull off player of the week twice, and seems to be gearing up for the playoffs. Lets get the last sim over with, I love the playoffs.

2-6 Sim...currently on a 4 game losing streak
But those only two wins came against the Best Team in the East Detroit Pistons and Kevin McHale's 76ers
We're lookin forward to next year in making a playoff push Hopefully Derek Harper resigns and our lottery pick is a stud

not really a sim to be proud of ... but another small step towards next season.
but let me get it out straight: MAN I'M HAPPY I DIDN'T DEAL SLEEPY !!! (not that he was in big demand anyway, but i really thought about contract shredding) 17/5/9 and just 2 TO may not sound special, but he shot .520 and kept opposing PGs to 15/8 and 3.5 TO on .399 shooting.
The rest of the observations from a 4-6 losing sim: Len Bias is no PF. 12/8/5 on good % isn't shabby ... but he got murdered on D. No repeat necessary. With Griff/Sleepy/Mazza my backcourt looks great ... and plays great. I do not have a starting C on my roster. Just need to remind myself every now and then. Tisdale earned getting more minutes at SF (13/7 on .486 while on D only allowing 13/7 on .373) ... problem is, this is Lenny's spot for the next 15 seasons. Hmmm ...
Still #4 in the ABA, just 2 games out of the #3 spot ... but also just one loss away from the #8 spot. A playoff berth is all but locked up, which is great for the franchise (win rating), but home court looks far less certain. (i'm just happy that every single fellow contender for seedings also sucked it up with losing sims)
This will be a great battle to day 120 (and facing the Braves there I will need to open the bag of tricks to prevail ...) ;D

With the cap going up 10 million it makes sense to start that now. ... wow, amazing. The salary cap goes up 50% ... and the rookie salaries go up 1000%. Not sure that's a good thing. Let me explain ... and offer a solution. I put it all in a poll right HERE: www.abavsnba.proboards91.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=askthecommitee&thread=2772&page=1Please let me know what YOU think.

3 - 5...Sadly didn't really move much further away from a playoff spot. Just had 2 teams move in front of me...One more time for a new DC or else I'm f**ked.

7-2 sim
13-5 since the trade, wish i knew who was on my team so that trade went thru one sim earlier.
Lost to the Jazz on the road, Ainge 33pts, 9assists Beat the Pipers, Ellis had 20/7/9 with 3 steals Beat teh Cougers, Cliff with 15/17 Beat the Stars, Drazen 31/9/5, Cliff 26/14/6 Beat the Pipers, Ainge 29/6/7 Beat the Bullets, Collins with 22 off the bench Lost to the Squires, Cliff 19/14 Beat teh Cougers, Cliff 34/6, Walton 15/27 Beat the Lakers, 30/4/7, Cliff 20/16
with 7 game left the playoffs are virtually impossible, but things are moving in the right direction..

8-3 We got a streaky squad and when healthy can really put up points...Final 5 games will be played at home ;D
That includes 2 games against Portland, and 1 against Chicago both barely edging me out for home court this post-season. Ive been playing probably more attention too the Americans Schedule this season and I was pretty convinced that they needed too have 1-2 less wins than the Warriors, going into this last sim...for me too have a shot at the coveted 2nd last pick...Now Vifan and Hawkins will be missing 3 of there last 6 games...not good for me..
Really heated race for those lotto picks, " Except you Spirits =) " but 6-7 teams can jump a lot of spots in this last sim...
One last note...How would you feel if you were the Spurs or Colonels right now? Out winning what I thought were the best 2 teams...Only too find out you gotta face the Stars or even the Nets 1st round...
...Pacers make the playoffs??? Don't be surprised

Walter Davis is back ... and suddenly that pick can drop anywhere from #1 to #7 (Pipers and Knicks dropping below as well is next to impossible)
I told you, they are way better than a .333 team, close to .500 at full strength ouch ...

I'm still surprised my team is doing as good as it is. Personally I thought this would be a rebuilding yr again for me.

Quite the race for seeds 3-8 in the west. 5 teams separated by 2 games. 3 teams currently at 40-35. Love it. Would have loved it more if my 3 losses weren't to some of the worse teams in the league right now.

This feels like a good year for the Pistons, lets hope that it ends with a championship.
