wow. experience tells me i'm probably not going to be able to maintain this level in the regular season, but nonetheless - wow
MJ is MJ, he's definitely taking up the scoring mantle for the team DJ looks as good as ever - hopefully his TO's stay this low Pat played better than his ratings would suggest, except his defense, which is thankfully right where i'd like it to be Kenny looks amazing. stepped in for a few games while DJ was out and really showed some good signs. steal of the draft Bob is old but still plays the defense i need him to and he boards like a machine DT isn't an option anymore, but still has the capacity to break 30 if he needs to, and he proved it Scott is the greatest backup since the days of Bob Love and Randy Denton. he needs some kind of an award Boone needs some playing time. play till you're 42 Iron Man!
i'll try and hit up some wonders too if i see them prez

Nate McMillan 15.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 8.2 apg, 2 spg. Bad shooting numbers. He has been a nice surprise.
Ellis 17.3 ppg, Drazen 18 ppg
we are going to struggle some this year.

Not a bad showing in Preseason, overall happy with what I see. I think I will need to toy around with the DC to get my team a little more consistent, but not to shabby.

13-10, so I expect sim 1 to be under .500. Dumars and Matthews look tough, 24 and 22 ppg. I hope they keep producing for years to come.

I suck dirt. My team is going to be worse than last years. I tried to win in the preseason and went 5-18 while being outscored by 16 ppg. Not good.

Unbelievable, it truly is.
Anyhow....
Jack Sikma - 16/10/3.5 and playing good defense.
Otis Thorpe - 10/7.5/1/1.5...clearly his defense went up, just not the letter.
Chris Mullin - 21/8/5/2.....Oh boy, here he comes. Aside from Len Bias and maybe 1 other player, he's the most complete player in the league.
John Long - 14.6/7/3/2...Loving the fact that he's contributing in many ways.
Edward Johnson - 30/5/6/2....Why did I want to trade him?
Pier Luigi Marzorati - Played some nice minutes of the bench.
Overall - Kind of mad the deal with Bucks for MRR didn't go through (totally my fault), but since it didn't go through, my whole DC made no sense and so this is a false thinking process for me.

A very positive Pre-Season for the Rockets..I know that not all teams played their stars but hopefully we can take this momentum into Sim 1
Even so, Maurice Cheeks only played 3 games before goin out with an injury, Buck only played 9 games due to injuries and Horace missed a couple of games as well
Pre-Season Achievements -1st Place in the NBA Conference with a 16-10 record -Jeff Hornacek won Player of the Week in Week 4 -Horace Grant won Rookie of the Month -Only allowing 94.3 PPG against (7th Best in the League) -10.8 SPG as a team (3rd Best) -50.7 RPG (10th Best) <-- Huge Improvement
Player Statistics James Worthy 20.5 PPG 7.1 RPG 1.8 SPG Jeff Hornacek 19.2 PPG 5.9 RPG 4.3 APG 2.7 SPG Derek Harper 13.3 PPG 5.2 RPG 7.8 APG 2.3 SPG Mike Gimenski 13.5 PPG 9.3 RPG Buck Williams 11.9 PPG 8.9 RPG 1.2 SPG Horace Grant 6.7 PPG 8.9 RPG 1.4 SPG 1.1 BPG

Magic, Marques, Bill JD and Mahorn all basically out, started the youth and kept the bench in their roles, to see what I'll get from them:
534 Mitch Kupchak C 23 21.4 7.0 5.3 0.7 0.6 0.7 1.9 .414 .700 .000 (good back-up) 165 Dave Hoppen C 23 25.9 4.1 6.8 1.3 0.7 0.4 1.1 .351 .659 .000 (never met a shot he liked) 463 Dino Meneghin PF 23 21.0 7.4 6.7 0.8 0.5 1.0 0.9 .390 .881 .000 (usual numbers) 459 Seth Marion PF 23 26.3 8.7 5.6 1.2 1.0 1.0 0.6 .427 .521 .000 (average) 218 Rod Higgins SF 23 32.7 16.3 5.4 3.1 1.5 0.7 2.5 .464 .675 .407 (great numbers) 630 Terry Furlow SF 23 15.3 3.1 1.4 0.2 0.7 0.3 0.6 .455 .813 .615 (good back-up to Marques) 566 Gundars Vetra SG 17 25.5 6.2 5.6 1.3 1.6 0.0 1.1 .363 .778 .111 (not what I was lookign for) 201 Andrew Toney PG 23 17.7 10.8 2.5 3.7 1.0 0.0 1.5 .470 .667 .472 (Move to SG spot suits him) 215 Panagiotis Giannakis PG 23 31.2 17.9 2.7 5.7 1.8 0.3 3.8 .484 .632 .486 (Great pick-up) 648 Ricky Sobers PG 23 27.9 10.3 4.0 1.1 1.4 0.2 2.3 .441 .879 .333 (good numbers and percentages)
Looking at my bench, this is probably the best team I've had since my title, especially my depth...

When D-Rob was healthy, we played well....
When he wasn't, we lost every single game...
Hummm. Wonder what the key to our season will be?

Started my 5 main bench guys with good results. English showed he can still play with 20 ppg. Drazen is the future at sg and will see major min. Thompson proved he still has it averaging 12 ppg and 10rpg as a non option. And micheal adams showed in his third year he could run a team or be the best backup pg in the league.
