W vs Spirits, Mickey 37, Cliff 26/7, Chuck Jones 22/14, 4 blocks starting at PF L vs Rockets, Cliff 31/6 W vs Lakers, Cliff 26/10/5, Mickey 26/10 W vs Bullets, Meriweather 14/16 L vs Colonels 133-121 in OT, took them to OT and then we were dead. Cliff 36/10, Mickey 35/3/3, Chuck Jones 8/14/4 and 3 blocks W vs Colonels! Cliff 24/9, Mickey 16/11/4, 2 steals 3 blocks L vs Bucks by 2 on the road, Cliff 32/7, Drazen 20/7, Walton 9/20/5
Cliff has been snapping off at SF. went 4-2 wihtout Drazen, then lost to a very good Bucks team with him back in the lineup. hopefully Benson helps out some. Ellis is going to lose minutes, just to many SF/SG.

We went 7 - 0..Which is what should have happened last sim..
We beat the Pistons twice, but aside from half the Pistons team being out with an injury, i didn't play anyone LOL.
This MAY be my best team I've ever assembled here because this team has a big man as it's leader. My other teams have been led by guards. I don't know but this team feels magical.
90 Kings @ Braves
I'M COMING FOR YOU PREZ!

Good time too put a win streak together, ...108-107 Dominique was player of the game but Moses played solid as usual...SanAntonio I have your soul now...
2 games vs Cleveland my team got 70 boards the first game and 73 too break my teams all time record the second game..Nice

2-4 ugh. Toby Knight really went ice cold after a monster sim to open up the 2nd half of the season, looks like he will be relegated to the active but not listed list once again. Rodman at SF still working out pretty decently.

damn. Another close loss to a lottery team to avoid staying unbeaten and moving closer to the Colonels.
But a 3-1 sim isn't the worst thing to happen, and beating those Colonels actually feels pretty good (and in that game my team was led offensively by WHO? Al Dutch !!!!!!)
I still don't get the performance from last season and that worries me a little ... but also tells me we're not playing our best ball yet. Actually, I like that, winning just so-so ... ;D
on a sidenote: After kind of ripping the Jazz on occasions recently, let me eat some crow now: I still have some trouble calling that Jazz team a contender, but I think the last few trades got them as close as possible ... and big respect for handing the Spurs their first home loss. Keep it up, no team looks untouchable anymore ...

Corzine comes back the day after McGinnis gets injured. Figures.
But starting Day 81, this team will be complete again, and we'll tear up these standings!!!!

But starting Day 81, this team will be complete again, and we'll tear up these standings!!!! oh i just realize I passed the freefalling Nets in the standings already. well, no big deal after they gave up on the season trading away Belo and Barnes (and i find it rather amusing when the ONLY goal for the Jazz is to win it all now - explaining their numerous deals in the past 2 seasons - and your explanation of trading for an old third string SG and the broken body of a former great big man is to "make one more run". and especially puzzeling: you gave up two guaranteed lottery picks (i can't see any scenario where they would NOT be) and took back two picks in the #25-29 range in addition to getting the two worse/older players ... and the guys you gave away were expirings too. (i would have opened a trade discussion thread if it's not a waste of time for a deal where no player involved is younger than 32 ...) Strange indeed ...

Yeah, I know it was a mistake, I just thought for some reason that my team was going to get better. Because that that #1 issue for my team was scoring so somehow getting 2 scorers for one made sense. Plus, the entire time he was trying to take Corzine, and he finally agreed to take Bolostenny. I don't care much about the picks at this point. My original (and still) goal is to have a lot of cap space so I can hopefully steal 2 max offers because my win rating would be good. There's a lot of ridiculously good FAs coming out this year, so I figure I can steal 2. I'm probably caught up in a pipe dream, but I'm not ready to give up until I finally have a full team together. I mean, before Corzine was injured, we were under .500, so I figured somethings gotta give.

I mean, before Corzine was injured, we were under .500, so I figured somethings gotta give. Still doesn't explain why you gave up your present AND your future. This deal would have been favourable towards the Jazz without the picks, now it's simply horrible. So the question remains, should the Jazz easily get my vote for GM of the year ? Let's see - Trade to get Woolridge and Vinnie Johnson for 38 yr old Randy Smith. Grade A+ - Managed to get ANYTHING for Armen Gilliam (even if the real price of Alvin Adams for a top 5 pick was way too high) Grade C- - Traded Orlando and Ortiz for Artis Gilmore and two fillers. Gilmore is 38 and hardly worth either guy, and it showed. But since he's still the best player among all included and the goal is win now it's not a complete desaster. Just one that didn't work out. Grade C - Got Belo and Barnes for Artis and a filler, but added 2 lottery picks AND got rid of those horrible end-of-first-rounders in lousy drafts. Grade A+ Overall grade: B (and since the team is kicking ass now, let's add that coveted "+"), so B+

not good. My leading scorer got hurt and I haven't won for weeks. I'm tied for the worst record which is bad. I need my guys to step up over the next 20-30 games or i'm out of the running for the top pick again.
