was the sim live? sucks if it was cause i had nothing to do. anyways, the entire KC/Detroit thing is really unfortunate, but you really can't blame Detroit, Gus. Look, whoever posts last has the advantage. So if Detroit didn't change his DC, you had the advantage by posting second, just as Detroit stole that advantage by reposting right before the sim. I don't think you can call it a dick move. Maybe a solution would be to post: I want player X guarding player Y, whether player Y is playing shooting guard or small forward. THat's how it works in the NBA. ITs not like if the Suns put SHaq at PG on their "depth chart" the Lakers would use Fisher to guard him, Bynum would be guarding him no matter what "position" the Lakers announced or claimed he was playing. Good luck to the Final Four. I'll take the Stars. That's how it works in the NBA when both coaches are there and know the changes have been made lol ...But I understand this is something that could be done all along. I just didn't think someone like Detroit would do it...If I could have counter his switches, there's no telling what could have happened. Not every GM is on the boards every second (around sim time) to change his DC to his own advantage...Regardless, that's a pretty low move from someone I didn't expect it from. I did try to make the live sim but I had to be somewhere from 11 - 12 . Prez - Yes, there were things I could have done to prevent this. Just didn't think it was going to be done on the other side, so I didn't even bother..But ya learn for next time, and I so hope i meet up again with them next year. Carolina - No, i was here right at the end of the live sim (while Prez was uploading). I was on the boards roughly an hour before the sim.

but think about it KC,
whoever posts last has the advantage. if you got to counter his switches, then you would be doing the same thing to him and he could make the same argument against you.

exactly.
NOT making it public is the only way to keep it fair, IMO.

Or he could use the line-up that he's used all year and not change it just for one match-up. Sure it would be so stupid to do that in real life, but since he knew I wasn't going to be able to do anything about it, he pulled a low one. Now I'm just talking about being fair, changing your line up at the last second (something that would be fine with me there to be able to adjust mine) is just plain wrong. Think about it like this... He moved Dantley to SG and Drew to SF. Putting the better defender (Drew) on the better scorer (Wilkes) and his better scorer (Dantley) on the worse defender (Pierce). Why couldn't he just leave it how it was? As if Dantley is a B- defender, and would have been raped by Wilkes. Drew can't score and Pierce isn't the greatest defender. So instead of crossing out the Pierce/Drew battle and having a good one at SF with Dantley/Wilkes...He decided to pull the dick move and have 2 clear win's at SG/SF. That clearly was a big reason he won. Whatever, it's done with and next year I'll make sure to have all angles covered.

If i had left it the same i would have got crushed.

Knowing his lineup was "same" (Since he posted before I did), my lineup as "same" was already the right one to play against his team. I didn't need any changes. But he waited until he saw me leave the site, so he could then change his DC to what favored his team.. Again he did nothing illegal here, it was just a low move by someone I "had" respect for.

I knew what DC I was going to use the whole time, I just didn't want you to make a counter. If you were in the chat at the time, you could have made changes too. I couldn't predict that you would miss the sim, and there is no point in telling the other team about my own changes. If I lost, I would look like an idiot for giving you an heads up. Whats the difference if I made a lineup change during the live sim and you weren't there? There is no difference, there is no way I'm going to use the same lineup for every team. I can't believe your going to hold a grudge against me for something so small.

The point is, you made the switches without me knowing on purpose. This is a game, people have lives and sorry I couldn't make it. It's a dick move to do without the other persons notice on the boards or in a live sim. Your matchup's didn't have you at a disadvantage without the changes, but had you at a HUGE advantage after the changes. Whatever, obviously next season I'm going to have to PM Prez every single scenario that could happen.
