some observation From the AllStar weekend: Mitch Richmond and the Cougars Willie Anderson sure ha a lot of fun with poor Reggie Miller in the rookies blowout win. Bias made an appearance in the probably worst slam dunk finals ever. The Chuckster won it with a 91 ... No Cougar invited to the AllStar game ... and the East is punished by 32. Go figure ... ;D The PISTONS are sure one strange team. Just look at the facts: 20-3 at home (#1 in the league) 10-7 on the road (2nd worst among contenders) Score 104ppg (#5), give up 90ppg - by far #1 in opp ppg and pts differential (+14ppg) get 54rpg (#2) and give up 41 (!!) rpg, more than 6 rebounds less than anyone else. The differential of +13 is unbelievable. also they are the 2nd best shot blocking team (7.1) but only 5 teams GET blocked more often than them (6.1). they have the 2nd fewest FG attempts in the league, but shoot an amazing percentage (.491, nobody else is better than .466 !) and of course they lead the league in oppontent fg%, allowing just .423 which also gives them a FG% differential of +.068. The 2nd best Kings have +.032 And then they force 13topg, #29 - and worst - in the league. But still, how in the world can such a dominant team not be like 39-1 ?? Guess we have to call them the "Mr. Jeckyl & Dr. Hide" franchise of the season ... I agree with you, we should be better but the problem with my team is that our back court isn't really that great. With the addition of Nixon we should be allot better and not having a point guard before really hurt us. Lets just see how we play in the second half of the season, I think we have the potential to finish with the best record in the league if injuries isn't a factor. P. S. Brad Daugherty > Len Bias

...Brad Daugherty > Len Bias Pretty much everyone from that draft class > Len But we continue our education ... and since playing time on the Cougars is earned through performance rather than ratings or draft position he'll have to WORK to break through. I'm not worried ... yet. btw, speaking of performance, there was one fascinating game from Reggie Miller (don't call me obsessed, I do that with every overly promoted guy): vs. Houston Reggie had 6 pts, 3reb, 1ass and 6 TOs. And his opponent Hornacek had 32pts, 8reb, 5ass ... ans still I believe this was one of the best (and defining) Reggie games, as he took just 5 shots, but added 5 steals and held Jeff to 11-31 shooting ... and the Jazz won by 23pts on the road. That's probably his value as of now. www.omegazorgon.com/AVN/boxes/51-3.html

Nothing eventful rode out Malones injury as I did last sim with Dumars and his injury. Hopefully this unit can start to gel a bit with the addition of a center to the mix.
Spud Webb the 5'6" back up point guard was the only Lakers player who made any sort of apperance in the All-Star game. Webb was apart of the slam dunk contest, he got 7th place with a score of 84.34. Let's assume he didn't do the elevator 2 hand double pump jam that he is famous for.

If I had a PG or SG, I would be halfway decent...
To bad the conference sucks. I mean, I'm four games under .500 and sitting with the sixth playoff spot...
Pathetic...
