so what i did last avncaa season was added recruits from the 49 and 50 draft class (no one noticed btw).. now the sim will spit out various players each season some of which could include these players like a bob cousy. what this does is randomise the players that enter each year and also give us a good group of real former pros to mix in. im curiious to hear thoughts on this idea.. at the end of the day using fake pkayers alone heading forward makes it tougher ti attrack new gms as well as keep older ones interested si we try this route and see

I think it works....I pretty much let my SimNBA team go to rot because they don't have any real players and it's just not that appealing. But I think we could do better by going all out and using as many real players as possible. If we do that, we'll have entirely different types of players when the players start repeating, because they'll have gone through college with varying degrees of success. For example, Dr. J could be a bust along the lines of a J-Rich level, while maybe Jerry Sichting would be a borderline All-Star. Not totally different from their real selves, but somewhat different.

Also, I think it might be cool to keep altering the cap structure as much as FBB has us allow to keep things interesting. Maybe gradually increasing the soft cap ratio, making MLEs and LLEs really irrelevant. Or increasing the hard cap ratio, making bloated contracts irrelevant, but having it maybe catch up with a few teams who didn't care to do the math. Or, heck, lowering the hard and soft cap gradually (or suddenly), leaving GMs desperate to rid themselves of their longer contracts and stingier in FA.

If you ask me, we've got a range of possibilities here. And I think it might be cool to go in directions that previous sims haven't (such as AvN originally did with the ABA VS. NBA concept and historically realistic cap structure). But, at the same time, I'm totally cool with staying the course. Either way, best sim I've ever been in.
