abavsnba.com/D/enjoy its getting to the point guys where the dleague may have run its course, there just is not enough gms who put any real effort into it and it might be a waste of time more than a help..

I really enjoy the D-League and it's one of my personal opinions of why this league is a step above the rest... But I'd be okay with whatever decision is made on this.
As for how my D-Leaguers performed...
David Holter* : 29.5mpg, 22.8ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.7apg, 0.8spg, 0.7bpg, 2.0topg, .515FG%, .658FT%, .154 3pt% (All-League 3rd team) Wali Jones* 35.4mpg, 13.9ppg, 5.0rpg, 7.6apg, 2.0spg, 0.2bpg, 2.9topg, .454FG%, .804FT%, .404 3pt% (All-league 3rd team) Boris Nachamkin* 27.2mpg, 10.0ppg, 6.4rpg, 2.8apg, 1.1spg, 0.2bpg, 1.6topg, .474FG%, .532FT%, .2173pt% (Rookie 1st team)

Chuck Noble wasn't bad but he wasn't good enough to get any awards. I doubt he will during his dleague career but I really need to start putting together a better dleague team so I have some smaller contracts as depth guys down the road.

As echoed above, I'm a fan of the D League, but from running a similar version in my own league, I know it's a lot of work just to add the possibility of developing a mid-first or second round pick. That said, a lot of people use the D League and even posted full depth charts compared to past years. Some teams don't use it at all, but the vast majority will if they have mid-first round picks, and the majority of that will use it extensively and regularly. But if we end the D League, it shouldn't be because GMs don't put enough effort into it. It should be because it's a hassle to run.
Now, my depth chart wasn't entered correctly, which sucks. Andrew Harrison, who I had starting at SF, only averaged 13 minutes. Meanwhile, Josh Harrellson, who I had at 3rd string Center, averaged 32 minutes. I'm sure a large part of that led us to our meek 41-41 record.
I don't think it affected too much with our awards, though. Unless, however, we ended up with a better spot in the playoffs, won the championship, and I got some points to use on Larry Costello.
However, I'm still happy with the season. Spencer Hawes somehow made All-Defensive 2nd Team with C+ defense and 1.6 blocks per game. I guess it was the 1.1 steals that netted it for him.
Whitey Skoog, who I assumed was a bust, made the All-D League 3rd Team, averaging 18/5/6/2. He still has two more years of eligibility, so if we continue the D League, maybe he can actually become a rotational player in the AvN.
Cesar Woolridge sucked, but part of that could be attributed to the possibility that he played SF instead of PF on my depth chart. 10/7/2/1/1 isn't bad, but he needs to play more as well.
Walcott wasn't bad, but I won't be calling him up. Dawson sucked. Matt Small was solid off the bench.
Finally, Larry Costello won Rookie of the Year. After years of not getting anything beyond an All-Rookie 2nd Team, we manage 3 distinct awards, which is nice. He averaged 18/3/6/2 and looks well on his way to being a starting-caliber 2 in a few years.
