- Once the Draft is completed on Monday you have from that day till 24 hours after TC to send a player to the developmental league, after that point players cannot be send down again or called up till the all star break.
- Year 1 in the developmental league will not have a TC there, though they still will go thru this leagues TC just under the FA pool. ( Basically players sent to the Dleague will have an * by there name in the AVN FA pool and cannot be signed by another team, I just have to keep them in the league file so i don't have to recreate them each time they get called up)
- If your looking to send guys to the dleague to save on cap space this offseason send them ASAP cause once i send the file to Dal (kentukcy) for FA he wont be able to remove guys from your roster as he wont have that kinda file access. So again the sooner the better, or just wait till after FA is ran
-5 playres max in the Dleague at any one time.
I'll post more as i think of it.. any questions you have NOW is the time to start asking them.

What is your stance on the cap situation ? Are my assumptions somehow on target?
I believe players getting called up have to have their original salary, otherwise you couldn't keep bird years.
And of course, would a team need to fit him under the hard salary cap, otherwise no call-up is possible (and whoever you signed inbetween and have to cut now has to count against your salary cap too)?
Also if an expiring player is not called up at midseason, he would simply be gone from the league at seasons end?
Can you send players down at midseason too, like call one up, send one down?

What is your stance on the cap situation ?
A player sent down will not count against your teams cap while they are in the developmental league

What assumptions are you making?
I believe players getting called up have to have their original salary, otherwise you couldn't keep bird years.
That would be correct there contracts remain the same
And of course, would a team need to fit him under the hard salary cap, otherwise no call-up is possible (and whoever you signed inbetween and have to cut now has to count against your salary cap too)?
That would be correct they need to fit under the hardcap, and if you do make cuts to call a guy up that would count against you. My suggestion if your worried is keep an open roster spot so you don't have to worry about it. I highly doubt anyone needs to call up more than 1 or 2 guys per season
Also if an expiring player is not called up at midseason, he would simply be gone from the league at seasons end?
He goes into fa in the avn
Can you send players down at midseason too, like call one up, send one down? You can send or call up players at the all star break.. this is a critical choice for players that are on expiring contracts cause if you don't call them up at the all star break they will be fas next offseason.
